Zakynthos Airport Transfer Costs to Every Resort

Zakynthos is a small island — even the furthest resort areas are under an hour from the airport. Prices are relatively consistent between taxis and pre-booked transfers, with the main advantage of transfers being guaranteed availability.

To Zakynthos Town (4 km)

• Taxi: 10-15 EUR.
• Pre-booked transfer: 10-18 EUR.

The closest destination. A 10-minute drive.

To Argassi (5 km south)

• Taxi: 15-20 EUR.
• Pre-booked transfer: 15-20 EUR.

Argassi is just south of the town, a popular resort strip.

To Tsilivi (8 km north)

• Taxi: 20-30 EUR.
• Pre-booked transfer: 20-30 EUR.

Tsilivi is one of the most popular family resort areas on the island.

To Laganas (12 km south)

• Taxi: 25-35 EUR.
• Pre-booked transfer: 25-35 EUR.

Laganas is the liveliest resort on the island and the most booked destination from ZTH. It borders the protected loggerhead turtle nesting area.

To Kalamaki (14 km south)

• Taxi: 25-35 EUR.
• Pre-booked transfer: 25-35 EUR.

Kalamaki is quieter than Laganas and adjacent to it.

To Keri / Lithakia (20 km south)

• Taxi: 30-40 EUR.
• Pre-booked transfer: 30-40 EUR.

To Alykes / Alykanas (18 km north)

• Taxi: 30-40 EUR.
• Pre-booked transfer: 30-40 EUR.

The northern resort strip, quieter and popular with families.

To Navagio / Volimes / Porto Vromi area (35 km north)

The furthest practical destination from the airport. The Navagio area is in the mountainous north. Taxis in this area are very scarce — pre-booking return transport is essential if you stay here.

What affects the price

Night surcharge: Greek taxis apply a 20-30% surcharge between midnight and 5 AM. Pre-booked transfers may or may not include a late fee.

Vehicle size: The prices above are for standard sedan (up to 4 passengers). Minivans cost 10-20 EUR more and are worth it for larger families.

Season: Zakynthos prices are fairly fixed year-round. In peak July-August, transfer availability (not price) is the variable — book early.

Is there a cheap option?

There is no bus from the airport. The cheapest option after a taxi is a taxi to Zakynthos Town (10-15 EUR) and then a local bus, but local buses are infrequent and not practical with luggage. For budget travellers, sharing a taxi or transfer with other passengers heading in the same direction can reduce individual cost.
