Getting from Menorca Airport to your destination without stress

Menorca Airport (MAH) is about 8 km from Mahon, roughly 18 minutes by road (route estimate, not live). The airport lists a public bus, line 10, to the Mahon bus station, with a one-way fare of EUR 2.80. Taxis leave from the signed rank at the terminal, and the airport publishes an indicative fare sheet. The Mahon port area is listed at EUR 18.01 by day and EUR 20.16 at night or on holidays. After landing you pass passport control if required for your flight, collect your luggage and walk out through the arrivals hall. The ground transport points are outside the terminal: the bus stop for line 10 and the signed taxi rank. The airport asks passengers to use the signed rank only and to avoid drivers who offer rides from other places.

Bus line 10: connects the airport with the Mahon bus station, where other lines leave for towns across the island. The one-way fare is EUR 2.80. From 1 June to 30 September the airport page lists departures to Mahon from 5:55 to 0:15 and buses to the airport from 5:45 to 21:15. From 1 October to 30 May the listed hours are 5:55 to 22:15 towards Mahon and 5:45 to 19:45 towards the airport. Frequency changes through the day, so check the airport page for your date.

Taxi: take only the signed rank at the terminal and ask for a receipt if you need to complain. The fare sheet is indicative and may vary with the exact destination.

Ride-hailing apps: may be available, but availability and fares vary. Check the fare in the app before you confirm, and have mobile data ready.

Pre-booked transfer: goes to your address. If meet-and-greet is included in your booking, follow the confirmation for the meeting point.

Car hire: desks are listed at the airport. Check the rental terms and your licence requirements before you book.

The sheet lists night hours as 21:00 to 06:00, with the higher night/holiday column applying. On the bus, the airport page shows that the winter timetable (1 October to 30 May) ends earlier than the summer one: the last listed bus towards Mahon is at 22:15 and the last towards the airport at 19:45. In summer the last listed bus towards Mahon is at 0:15. If your flight lands after those hours, plan on a taxi or a pre-booked transfer.

Check what the taxi allows before you load up. The fare sheet says luggage is free up to 50 kg in total, with a charge above that, and that surfboards and bicycles are not counted as luggage (EUR 10 extra per transfer). It also says babies must always travel in their own seat, and that the taxi can refuse the transfer if the parents do not bring one. Spanish traffic authority guidance is that child restraint systems are mandatory for minors measuring 135 cm or less.

For families, ask for a child seat and a larger vehicle when you book a transfer, and give the children's ages.

Follow those instructions and call the number in the confirmation if you cannot find your driver. For the bus, go to the line 10 stop outside the terminal. For a taxi, use the signed rank.

Choose the bus if: you travel light, arrive within the timetable hours and your destination is Mahon or reachable by connecting from the bus station.

Choose a taxi if: you want to leave at once from the rank, and you accept an indicative fare that can vary with the destination.

Choose a pre-booked transfer if: you arrive late, travel with children or heavy luggage, or want the price confirmed before you fly.
