Groups of 3-4: A taxi or private transfer split between the group comes to JPY 2,000-3,750 per person (~EUR 12-22), which is reasonable for door-to-door service.
Families with children: Private transfer eliminates dragging bags through stations. At JPY 12,000-15,000 for a minivan, it is the most relaxed option and not unreasonable for what you get.
