Alicante Airport serves a wide stretch of the Costa Blanca. Distances vary considerably, and so do prices.
One thing to say plainly before the numbers: there are only two published, official prices at this airport. The bus fare, which the operator publishes, and the taxi airport supplement, which Aena publishes. Nobody official publishes a taxi price list by destination. This page used to carry one; it has been removed, because it was an estimate wearing the clothes of a fare table.
Price breakdown by transport type
Bus C-6 (airport express)
- Airport to Alicante city (Luceros): EUR 4.60 single, per Vectalia, the operator that runs the line
- Reduced tickets for over-65s and large families; a rechargeable Bono Alicante-Aeropuerto is sold on board
- Frequency: Every 20-30 minutes during the day, less frequently in the evening
- Last service: Around midnight
- Only serves: Alicante city centre. No direct service to coastal resorts.
Metered taxi
The airport is in the Elche municipality. A journey that stays inside Elche is charged on the urban tariff; anything beyond it — which is every resort on this page — is charged on the Generalitat Valenciana's regulated intercity tariff. Both are metered, and the meter is the regulated maximum. On top of the meter, every airport journey carries a fixed EUR 4.25 airport supplement (Aena).
What this page will not do is guess at the fare to each town. If you want a figure before you set off, Radio Taxi Elche keeps an information desk in the arrivals hall (roughly 09:00 to 01:00) and will quote your route; they also take advance bookings. Night, Sunday and public-holiday tariffs are higher than the weekday daytime rate.
The AP-7 toll on the northern route towards Benidorm is not part of the meter and is normally added at the end. That is normal, not a driver inventing a charge — but ask first so it is not a surprise.
Pre-booked private transfer
Fixed at the point of booking, tolls included. There is no published range to print, because the price you are quoted is the price — which is rather the point of booking one.Cost by destination

What drives the cost
Distance is the main factor. The Costa Blanca is a long stretch of coast, and Benidorm at 55 km and Denia at 95 km are very different journeys.
The AP-7 motorway toll applies on the northern route towards Benidorm and beyond. Taxis normally add it on top of the meter. Private transfers include all tolls in the fixed price.
Night, Sunday and public-holiday tariffs are higher than the weekday daytime rate.
Group economics: the fare is per car, not per person, so a party of four splits it four ways — which is what makes a taxi or transfer competitive against per-person bus fares on the longer routes.
The value perspective
For Alicante city: the C-6 bus at EUR 4.60 is excellent. Use it if arriving during the day.
For Benidorm and the northern coast: a taxi or transfer is unavoidable without significant journey complexity. Get a quote first — from the taxi desk in arrivals, or by booking a fixed price — rather than working from a number you read somewhere.
For Torrevieja and the southern coast: similar situation. No direct airport bus, so taxi or transfer is the practical choice.
