Arriving late at night at Las Vegas Airport: your real options

Last updated: March 2026

This is one of the easiest airports in the world for late-night arrivals. Las Vegas does not sleep, and neither does its ground transport. The Strip is busier at midnight than most cities are at noon. Your main concern is not availability but pricing.

What is available at every hour

| Option | Availability | Price to Strip | |--------|-------------|---------------| | Taxi | 24 hours | USD 15-25 / EUR 14-23 + tip | | Uber/Lyft | 24 hours | USD 12-50 / EUR 11-46 | | Pre-booked transfer | 24 hours (if booked) | USD 35-60 / EUR 32-55 | | Public bus | Until ~1:30 AM | USD 6-8 / EUR 5-7 |

The surge pricing reality

Late-night rideshare prices in Las Vegas are unpredictable. On a quiet Tuesday at midnight, you might pay USD 15. On a Saturday at 1 AM after a fight at T-Mobile Arena, the same ride could cost USD 50-70. The airport departure area gets congested as shows, concerts, and events let out simultaneously across the Strip.

Taxis do not surge. After midnight on a busy weekend, a regulated metered taxi is often the cheapest option. The taxi line moves quickly even late at night because Vegas taxi drivers work around the clock.

Pre-booked transfers at night

A pre-booked transfer gives you a fixed price regardless of time or events. The driver tracks your flight and adjusts for delays. There is no late-night surcharge from most providers. If you know you are arriving after 10 PM on a weekend, booking in advance at USD 35-60 could save you money compared to surge-priced rideshare.

The energy level

Unlike most airports, LAS at midnight feels fully operational. Restaurants and bars are open, slot machines are active, and the arrivals area is staffed. You will not feel stranded or unsafe. The biggest inconvenience is that baggage claim can be slow when multiple late flights arrive together.

Check-in timing

Most Strip hotels allow check-in at any hour. Vegas hotel front desks are staffed 24/7. However, if you are arriving very late (after 2 AM), confirm with your hotel that your room will be held. Some properties release unreserved rooms after midnight during sold-out periods.

Bottom line

Late-night arrivals in Vegas are a non-issue from a transport perspective. The only variable is cost. If you want price certainty, book a transfer in advance or use a taxi. If you are flexible and it is not a peak night, rideshare will be fine and possibly cheapest.
