GBE is a modern terminal that was expanded and renovated in recent years. It handles both international and domestic flights but remains manageable in size. Once through customs, you enter a small arrivals area. There are a few shops and a currency exchange counter, but do not expect a sprawling commercial zone. The atmosphere is calm — Gaborone does not get the tourist volumes of safari gateway cities.

Outside the terminal, you will find a parking area and a loosely organized taxi zone. It is not chaotic, but it is also not highly structured. If you have a pre-booked transfer, your driver will be holding a name sign near the exit or in the parking area.

Taxis: Taxis are available outside the terminal but are not metered. You negotiate the fare before getting in. Drivers are generally honest, but as a newcomer you may pay more than a local would. Luggage trolleys are available inside the terminal. The parking area is paved and easy to navigate with wheeled bags.
